DeeGi is an American record producer, musician, songwriter, and recording engineer born in Detroit, MI. Growing up in Michigan, he spent a lot of his youth listening to rap music and studying artists like 50 Cent, Eminem, Lil Wayne and Drake. He always knew he wanted to be a part of the creative process of making music and began producing when he was in high school. One of his very first beats ended up in the hands of local Detroit artists Persia Grai and DISTANT PKWY and evolved into a song called “Can’t Be Played”. Over time, DeeGi developed his own unique sound and style. Contrary to his origins, he doesn’t only produce rap music but has a catalog including pop, dance, and R&B in addition to hip-hop music. DeeGi’s most recent collaboration with DISTANT PKWY, “Why Don’t We?” is becoming very popular on TikTok and Spotify. DeeGi combines punchy drums and a smooth guitar riff in this fast-paced pop track.
